How long does it take for mirtazapine to get out of system first in morning. It makes me really sick and headache and then i can't stop wanting to eat?

Half life: 20-40 hrs: This means that the drug is "active" (having the effects - both desired and undesired) for that long a time. So, if you take it every day, it is never "out of your system". Talk with the prescribing doctor if you want to try something different - never stop medications on your own, as some have to be tapered off and you need to be monitored. Good luck. ...Read more

2 - 4 weeks: Like most other antidepressants, Mirtazapine (brand name remeron) usually starts to result in improvement after about 2 weeks of use, with increasing benefit over the next several weeks. Can you tell me how long until remeron (mirtazapine) leaves my system?

Half-life 20-40 hrs: Females take a bit longer than males. So whatever your last dose, in 2 days it's half, another 2 it's 1/4, another 2 it's 1/8 until gone and this is the most conservative estimate. It shouldn't be too long. But I don't know the dose or even your gender. Take care. http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/reflex_sympathetic_dystrophy/detail_reflex_sympathetic_dystrophy.htm ...Read more

Glad you asked: It's an excellent thing to ask about this - but next time - ask the Dr when they prescribe. I'll give my best thought but please confirm it w/ the Dr or the pharmacist. It should not be a problem to be taken at the same time unless one has a conflicting instruction - like take w/ food vs take on empty stomach. It think these are okay but confirm. Was only on mirtazapine for 9 days because of the overwhelming fatigue side effect. How long before that goes away? Last dose was last night.

It depends on dose.: Mirtazapine is kind of funny. At lower doses, it makes people pretty drowsy which can help if they're having sleep problems as part of their major depression. At higher doses that seems to go away. If you're on 15mg daily, the drowsiness probably won't go away. If fatigue is plaguing you through the day, it may well be a symptom of under-treated major depression and indicate undertreated depressio ...Read more
