Effective drug: Lyrica (pregabalin) works well for many chronic pain patterns, but could cause side effects of weight gain, swelling of feet and ankles, drowsiness, dizziness. How long does Lyrica take to work. I have been on 50 mg for about a month and the side effects are just awful. A.m. I am zoned out after taking 25 mg?

Stop it: Some people have resolution of side effects with lyrica. But if it's more than a week and you still have side effects, then they're unlikely to go away. It can vary in how long it takes to have an effect, but if you're zoned out its probably not worth it. ...Read more

How long does it take for the side effects of lyrica (pregabalin) and zolpidem go away? I feel sedated + dificult the breath when waking up meds for 16d

Meds go away: It could take a couple of days for the effects of these medications to leave your system. With that being said it is unlikely that these two medications would be causing you sedation and breathing problems 16 days later. I would recommend that you follow-up with your prescribing physician on this issue. It is likely that something else is going on. ...Read more
