Posible but unlikely: Most likely the two are not related. You should see your doctor to have them both evaluated to be sure. Two possibilities include: 1) if you have low thyroid hormone this can slow you metabolism ; contribute to an enlarged fatty liver 2) if you have extremely high thyroid hormone resulting in thyroid storm which can cause jaundice (yellow skin) ; enlarged liver, this is rare ; presents emergently. ...Read more

Depends: It depends on the characteristics of the "spots". Were the thyroid lesions described as cysts or nodules. Did they have microcalcification?
