I'm going to lose both big toenails (see pic). I was close to liver failure 8months ago & malnourished ever since. Podiatrist appt on Wednesday.
CT SCAN of abdomen says,the dome of the liver is partially excluded.The liver is normal in size and attenuation,on noncontrast image.what does it mean?
Didn't get to see it: "Excluded" means it wasn't in the pictures. Somehow, the tech or someone made a mistake and didn't get enough pictures. The abdomen starts at the diaphragm (which covers the top, or dome, of the liver on the right side). A CT of the abdomen should go from the diaphragm through the pelvis. However, in your case they started lower down - missing the top (or dome) of the liver. ...Read more

Hopefully not: Most individuals cannot feel their liver. It can be difficult for physicians to feel the liver unless it is enlarged. Normally on exam we may feel the distal edge, however, it is sometimes easier to percuss the size. In thin patients it can be easier.
