CT SCAN of abdomen says,the dome of the liver is partially excluded.The liver is normal in size and attenuation,on noncontrast image.what does it mean?
Didn't get to see it: "Excluded" means it wasn't in the pictures. Somehow, the tech or someone made a mistake and didn't get enough pictures. The abdomen starts at the diaphragm (which covers the top, or dome, of the liver on the right side). A CT of the abdomen should go from the diaphragm through the pelvis. However, in your case they started lower down - missing the top (or dome) of the liver. ...Read more

Slightly abnormal: Fatty liver is a sonographic/radiologic finding and is graded mild, moderate, or severe etc.. Each liver has some fatty infitration, but above certain level then it is termed fatty liver--the most common liver disease in us today (obesity epidemic).
