Nonspecific: Right sided abdominal pain is nonspecific. Certainly however, it is not related to GERD. The : The ct will be able to detect cancer if present. To answer your question, with any enlargement of organs there is a chance of cancer. However, there are also many other causes as well (fatty liver, liver cirrhosis, hepatitis, sickle cell disease etc.) hopefully your doctors will be able to figure out exactly the cause of your hepatosplenomegaly (enlarged liver and spleen) and come up with a treatment plan. After that, it could be any number of internal issues, intercostal muscle spasms, reflux, pancreatitis, ulcers, lung issues. May be rib issues: including muscle spasms causing them to tighten from trauma or postural issues, specific muscle spasms. However, you should be examined to rule out spleen, stomach and even cardiac concerns.
