Quality: If you want, you can look for aggressive treatment for her or getting her entered in a study. It is her decision. I'd urge you to focus at this time on making her last months (or it may be years) matter. Remember the good times, seek healing if need be, stay involved with her and help her do and enjoy the things that are important to her. Add life to the time, more than time to the life. Bless you. ...Read more

Urgent, doctors :'( my mom has metastases liver cancer, lung and bone nearby left thigh found tumors. Just found out few days ago, is stage 4. How?

This is too: Common. Some cancers are quiet until they infest other organs, and it is these organs working poorly or hurting that causes the cancer to be known. Some cancers can have life extended by treatment (prostate and breast), others can be treated to relieve symptoms. But for most, it means time to focus on comfort and symptom relief rather than rigorous treatment. ...Read more

Is in case of colon cancer with liver metastases (and during chemoth) recommended a specific diet? Are there any anti cancer food? What about turmeric

Not really.: It all depends on the symptoms. Chemo can affect the taste, alter your bowel habits, and decrease appetite. The goal is to stay well hydrated. High fiber diet may help with both constipation or diarrhea. There is no specific "anti cancer"diet that you can go on. No significant data available to support turmeric in the foods. ...Read more

The timescale for the rest of my live with lung cancer metastasis bone and liver cancer. I was diagnosed early 2014 and I am 58 years old female ?

Longevity: I am sorry to hear about your condition. The best person to ask is the oncologist (o) who is familiar with you and your case, as the o knows you best of all. There are different types of lung cancer and without knowing the type and the severity of the metastatic lesions, your answer will be best answered by your o or another o. Good luck. ...Read more

Cousin's husband has stage 4 liver cancer from cirrhosis due to alcoholism and hepatitis c. But no metastasis. Any hope for him?

Stage IVA: This is disease that's spread to be inoperable but no distant metastases. Maybe 10% of these folks are alive five years later. A cure is very unlikely even with science marching onward. Hope may come in the form of being surrounded by folks who love him, having a happy marriage (many of us never experience this), or (I hope) exchanging forgiveness and growing spiritually. ...Read more
