Other causes: Amylase, Lipase and liver enzymes can be elevate, due many other reasons such as acute cholecystitis, biliary sludge, chronic pancreatitis or even drug induced. Imaging does not necessarily pick up small gallstones or biliary sludge. Also, clinical symptoms need to be correlated with your lab work to narrow down the diagnosis.
