I get little bumps on my chin that crust over and hurt. What is this? I don't think its impetigo because they usually go away within 2-4 weeks but another one comes before the old one can heal

This : This does sound like impetigo, expecially if the crust is honey colored. Maybe you are not taking the right antibiotic, or not taking it for long enough. If you stop the treatment early for any reason, the infection can return fairly quickly. On the other hand this may be a dermatitis, allergic reaction, or even folliculitis. Skin infection?: This needs to be examined in order to be successfully diagnosed. Stop squeezing these. Could be dangerous by spreading infection. Go show these to your PCP. ...Read more

White bumps: It's hard to answer without seeing the bumps. One option is to use a soap free cleanser, like cetaphil-apply and wipe off for a moisturizing effect. Another is to look up "molluscum contagiosum"-a type of wart virus, small domes with white centers, which will resolve after about a year. Drug allergy?: This rash sounds like it could be an allergy to the antibiotic, especially if it is itchy or if it appears elsewhere. Probably it has nothing to do with your contraceptive pills. Yes: Most likely sub mental lymph node. It is not uncommon. Check other neck areas- both sides of neck, submandibular area, and front and back of both ear as well as bilateral supraclavicular area for any similar bump. If negative then this bump is a normal but enlarged node and just monitor for any change. ...Read more
