It depends: If you would like to do a low fat, low carb, high fiber diet, i'm assuming you'll be taking high protein as well. Then, make sure you take at least 60-70 grams or lean protein per day, less than 50 grams of carbs (fiber does not count), and keep the fat below 20 grams, all from fish or plant based. Question?: Do you eat late or snack before bed? Sometimes what people eat late can carry over to the next am and affect the bs. The other possibility is dawn phenomenon. Some people have higher morning blood sugars due to hormones which are highest in the am and they drive up the blood sugar also at that time.
