I : I am sorry that you are going through this stressful experience. Fetal heart beat can usually be heard at 9 weeks in thinner women, and later in heavier women with a doppler (fetal heart monitor), however it can be seen much earlier, up to 6 weeks or sometimes even before, with an ultrasound. An ultrasound is much more accurate at both looking at the baby and measuring the heart rate than just the doppler. ...Read more

Embryo heartbeat: It is close to 12 weeks that you can hear a baby's heartbeat with a doppler. An ultrasound can detect it a little sooner. Doesnt mean anything is wrong, the baby just needs to grow a bit. :) ...Read more

Depends: Hi! Is this your first pregnancy? If you have had a miscarriage in the past then you may be at risk... However if this is your first pregnancy and your OB/GYN says you are doing well, then you will most likely do well :) Unfortunately a miscarriage can happen at any point in pregnancy.
