Lisinopril Aspirin Interaction
How many aspirins a day is it safe to take on a regular daily schedule? I take four 325mg tablets every day.
Aspirin Dose: This is a difficult question to answer without knowing why you are taking it. If you are taking Aspirin for its cardioprotectant effect, the dose is considerably lower than what you are taking on the other hand, if you are taking it as an anti-inflammatory agent for osteoarthritis, the dose seems a little low. The doctor who prescribed your Aspirin therapy is the best person to answer this ...Read more
Aspirin can be taken with ace inhibitor such as lisinopril.
There was some observational data indicating decreased efficacy of ace inhibitor if used with aspirin, but this has not been found to be clinically significant. If both medications are indicated, they can certainly be used together. ...Read more

Be careful: Generally I do not recommend this combination. Ibuprofen and Lisinopril together can trigger kidney failure especially if the patient becomes dehydrated. Secondly long term use of Ibuprofen can actually raise blood pressure reducing the effectiveness of the lisinopril. That being said, it is usually ok to use for 2-3 days, or every other day but only 400 -800 mg a day of ibuprofen. ...Read more
Yes, with care: Using fish oil along with Prinivil (lisinopril) and Aspirin is usually safe. But please tell your doctor you're taking it. Omega-3 supplements can make your platelets less sticky, which is a good thing in many ways. However, in some people fish oil's effects along with other medicines being used can lead to decreased clotting -- or more bruising. That's why I suggest care, until you see how it affects you. ...Read more

Coreg, lisinopril, lipitor, (atorvastatin) low dose aspirin. Are these meds a good combo for preventing a cardiac event? Anything holistic I can and should add?
Yes: These are good meds for lowering BP and cholesterol which, in turn, lowers your risk. Holistic measures include: attain and maintain normal body weight (bmi =25); daily exercise:at least 30 minutes, the more the better; eat a mediterranean diet (google this if you're not familiar). Don't smoke. Don't chew. Drink alcohol in moderation (not >2 drinks daily). Relax, be happy. Don't stress. ...Read more

Is one shot of toradol dangerous for someone taking aspirin and lisionpril? For how long could side effects occur?
See below.: A single shot of toradol is probably ok depending upon kidney function. Would not want to continue toradol, Lisinopril and then become dehydrated or begin a diuretic without monitoring. Kidney side effects would begin relatively quickly if they were going to occur. This would be noted only by drawing blood. Would lst for several days then resolve. There would be no symptoms. ...Read more
