Most likely the: Simvastatin as almost all the cholesterol lowering drugs lead to constipation. Usually drinking more caffeine free alcohol free fluids will correct the problem and allow you to take the meds you need for your hypercholesterolemia. ...Read more

Possibly: All medications can affect bowel movements. If your constipation only started after the medications it is even more likely. You can try some over the counter stool softer or added fiber eg Metamucil. If it remains please see your gastroenterologist as constipation is often a complex and multi factorial problem.
