Have bad anemia. Tests show i can't absorb iron from food or pills. Are their liquid iron supplements & do you think they'd help?

Liquid wont help: If you're not absorbing from food or pills, i don't think that liquid form will help. Most likely you will need to get a shot of iron to absorb it. Check with your physician. It seems you are getting IV iron- that is another method to absorb iron. Have your doctor also look into why your iron is so low. ...Read more

Dark greens: Worked for popeye. Spinach and other dark greens are good natural sources of iron. Red meat obviously, but harder to eat in quantity. Nothing unreasonable about using supplements & vitamins when you are coming from behind. ...Read more
