I will start taking liquid chlorophyl to help with my colitis and stomach problems. Does it affect the effectiveness of my birth control?
Don't waste UR money: I've heard of chlorophyll (chlorella, kyo-green, green magma) being used by the japanese to "help speed the cleansing of the bloodstream and to protect against the effects of uv radiation." i don't endorse its use for either the above claims, or your expectation that chlorophyll will "help colitis and stomach problems." don't waste your money and health. I have been having stomach problems ever since i started a low carb almost no carb diet. And was wondering if this was normal?
Not sure: But if you are on a diet that is making you sick, then it's not the right diet for you. It doesn't matter if it is "right" for someone else. If you want to lose weight, you need to eliminate simple sugars, but modest amounts of complex carbohydrates are good for you. Avoid sugary drinks, fried foods, desserts, alcohol, and eat brightly colored organic fruits and vegetables. Use meat as a seasoning. ...Read more
For problems with inadequate peristalsis (nonspecific neuromuscular problem), is a liquid diet good? Can liquify fruits, veggies, tofu for p.M. Meal
Depends: Liquids tend to be easier to digest (as they are pre-digested down), but some neuromuscular problems are due in part to low vitamin B12 levels, and since B12 is in low quantity in vegetarian and especially vegan diets, it would be important to include this important nutrient. Medium-chain triglycerides and Amino Acids might also play a role in supplementation for such a liquid diet. ...Read more
