Just noticed a tiny bump on the top of my lip that is irritating & hurts a little, especially if touched. The skin nearby feels odd. Is it serious?
Lip swelling: Yes. It takes about 2 weeks to adjust to having something foreign in your mouth. It is almost like your mouth is slowly forming a "callus". Front line treatment is usually antihistamines, benedryl for immediate help or zyrtec (cetirizine) for preventative measures. Ice packs can reduce it.
