Use only vaseline:
People can be allergic to lip balms (especially ones that contain fragrance or castor oil).
Using plain vaseline will help eliminate the possibility of allergy.
Another common allergen is cinnamon flavoring in gum or toothpaste.

Too much?: The the most common mistake we make is keeping the lips wet with saliva; this makes dryness even worse. You have probably developed dryness related to the weather or office environment.
