Doctor insights on:
Lipozene Vs Hydroxycut
Don't bother: I would recommend you avoid such products that have never been medically/scientifically tested and essentially depend on slick advertising for sales. See a dietician and get some accurate guidance on what to eat and see a trainer if you want to develop musculature.
Wondering if Lipozene or even hydroxycut or even slim optimum would work to keep weight of? I broke my foot so I can't really exercise.
Broke foot: Did you get your foot treated and get the fracture healed? If yes and you still have pain consider gettting evaluated for a foot orthotic. Foot pain is not normal and can usually be resolved by proper treatment. I would see a podiatrist in your area. If the fracture was not treated correctly it may not be healed and that's why your in pain. You need a pain free foot to loose weight and exercise.
If hydroxycut and lipozene don't work. ... I have pcos and a thyroid problem (i take meds) plain diet and exercise is not showing a difference!
No.: In 2009, the fda told consumers to stop taking hydroxycut because of risk of liver damage. While the company says it "reformulated" its supplement, I tell my patients to stay away from hydroxycut - there's no great evidence it works better than other weight loss interventions out there, and there is some concerning evidence that it does harm. As with many supplements, buyer beware.
Hydroxycut: There are no studies pointing out that hydroxycut is an effective weight loss drug. Hydroxycut contains large amounts of caffeine, that will raise your blood pressure and body temperature causing you to burn more calories. Some of the ingredients of hydroxycut are green tea extract, guarana extract and garcinia gamogia. Best way to loose weight is by having a healthy diet and daily exercise.
No: It does not contain any of the usual stimulants that can give false positives for amphetamines. However, even when there is a false positive, that should not be a "fail" on a drug test since ALL positives on screening tests need to be confirmed with more sophisticated testing like gas chromatography/mass spectrography or similar tests. If they don't do this, you may have legal recourse to dispute.
I am not a: Hydroxycut expert. The advertisements indicate or imply that a person loses weight. However, be aware that the photos are of people who have clearly engaged in a great deal of exercise (and most likely dietary changes too). I suspect that if you did not change your activity level or your nutrition plan that you would see little difference if only taking hydroxycut.
Both help the seller: Neither "helps" the buyer/user more than the other, or many other such products out there. Diet and exercise, along with fewer calories taken in, is the only non-surgical way to lose weight. If you are massively obese, gastric bypass or lap bands are effective and will improve your health/weight. Skip the "snake oil.".See 1 more doctor answer
Sure: Technically, you could, but look at the fine print during that commercial. The weight loss attributable to Lipozene was only ~3 pounds. Is it really worth it to out this chemical in your system for only three extra pounds of weight loss?
Why?: Why would you pay money to put unknown chemicals in your body when you don't know what they are, what they're supposed to do or what kinds of problems they could cause. They won't help you, but can harm you. Why waste your money on that? Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or the internet. Try healthy diet, exercise instead.See 1 more doctor answer
Bad reviews: There are many negative reviews of this product. It is just a filler called glucomannan. Fined by ftc for false claims. I would avoid. Focus on fruits veggies lean meats and exercise. Avoid sugars.
Hydroxycut: Hydroxycut was taken off the market at one point as a result of reports of liver problems, seizures, and rhabdomyolysis. It is an herbal supplement and therefore not regulated by the fda. Eating a little less sugar and carbs, and getting a little more exercise in will knock off 10 lbs and you will be healthier for it. Hydroxycut is not something I would recommend.
Not likely: There is no known interaction but buyer beware of these over the counter weight loss supplements. They are not well studied or well testing.
