Two different issues: Lipoproteins (made by liver & intestinal cells) transport all fat molecules around body in water outside cells & required to stay alive. Lipo (=fat)tropic (=changing) injections a totally different topic; refers to whatever people are selling to gullible customers. No double blind, placebo controlled, prospective clinical trials done, or are required, for sales. Just sales! Buyer Beware, as Always. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Different issue: I do not know of any commonly used thyroid injections. Synthroid (thyroxine) can be used IV at half the dose of your usual oral dose. Lipotropic injections may vary. Many of them may contain B12 which can help if you are deficient, but I prefer just a good balanced diet plan for weight loss. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I got lipotropic injections last year in August. I didn't use it at the time. It was stored in a cool dark place. I just injected myself with it. Is it unsafe? Should I get medical advice? I never thought it might have an expiration date

Is it safe to use lipotropic injections to lose weight. What are the sides effects of using laser lipo to lose weight.
Safe but...: Probably not effective. Laser lipo side effects can include: contour irregularities, seromas (bloody collections), sagging skin, inadequate fat removal, burns, blisters and/or scarring. There are non invasive, safer alternatives available, including laser fat loss and RF fat loss machines, to name a few. Eating less, eating healthier and exercising more also can go a long way. Hope this helps. ...Read more
Can lipotropic injections cause problems with gall bladder (with no prior history of gall bladder problems)?
Unlikely: "lipotropic injections" are touted to enhance fat metabolism. The principal agent used is vitamin b12. If there is truly any effect, it would actually be to decrease the risk of gallstone formation, rather than causing problems. The principal risk group for gallstones are being female, fertile and overweight. ...Read more

Taking b12 lipotropic injections weekly for a month. Period 1day late, never late. Pregnancy test, negative. Seems others are reporting the same help!
B 12 injections are unlikely to affect the period. If you did not have sex since your last period, there is no concern. If you did, you may wish to repeat the pregnancy test in 4-5 days, unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.
Practice safe sex. ...Read more

Methylated B12: Is more bio-available, easier to absorb, than B 12. Taking a SUBLINGUAL B 12 that melts under the tongue can be used in place of injections. EGCG capsules (from green tea) can be used in place of lipotropics injections. Nothing replaces the need for lifestyle changes such as healthy diet and exercise program. Please see doc for guidance. Peace and good health. ...Read more
Fat loss stuff: These are unregulated pills / injections that are supposed to help people lose weight. Ephedra is now controlled, but nobody can stop anybody from making pills or shot from common chemicals such as choline or cheap vitamins and inflating their price as fat-burners. Even prescription weight-loss meds don't work well. It's your money and your skin. ...Read more
