Possibly: Lipomas can be any size from very small to very large. Without an exam I cannot answer if your lumps need biopsied. Lipomas are benign and do not have to be removed unless they get larger or cause pain...or you just want them out. ...Read more

No: A lipoma per say isn't reason to be worried. This is a benign ie non-malignant growth. You can get more, especially if the one you have is incompletely excised. This is not a lymphoma. Any concerns see a general surgeon to decide if a bx needs to be done. ...Read more

2 docs have said i def have a lipoma exactly top of spine/base neck. Still worried I have cancer.Are they easy to diagnose by touch + by its position?

Usually: Lipomas have a characteristic soft and somewhat mobile feel on exam. They don't change much over time. Cancer doing this would be unusual and your doctors are likely correct in their conclusion. Ultrasound of lipomas can show a rounded fatty area or nothing (with the lipoma blending into the surrounding fat). Sometimes ultrasound is done when patients feel they need further evidence of noncancer. ...Read more

Yes tell your MD: Lipomas usually will not cause pain, may be benign fibro-cystic disease , you should have an examination by your doctor , to make sure nothing serious , if need will order tests or refer you to a specialist ...Read more

No sarcoma: Small soft lesion on calf usually benign. Rare to have sarcoma present as such. If it is a lipoma it probably will not grow much larger if at all A transforming lipoma is bx at around 10 cm. suggesting changes taking place. Any lesion should periodically be observed and if found to change by becoming firmer or increase significantly in size then bx indicated. ...Read more
