Had MRI on knee showed meniscal tear, tendentis, bursitis, benign lesion on cartilage. What is yr opinion on treatment? .
Depends on your main: symptoms. If knee is hurting and "gives way" when you walk, then a Scope surgery to get rid of the Meniscal tear; which also provides an opportunity to look at all other structures. Lesion on Cartilage, might look benign, But a biopsy could be done, to confirms it is Benign, The bursitis/tendonitis, if still persists can be treated by the NSAIDs and PT/exercises, heat/cold packs etc. Good Luck. ...Read more
Broke fibula and sprained ankle 5 week ago. Slipped and cracked ankle on tile ledge. Feel something hard and uneven under swelling on ankle. Reinjury?
Heel spur on back of foot &below back of foot. Achilles tendinitis visible bump on the side opposite of the ankle. Been years. Pains unbearable. Help?
Sick Achilles.: Your comments sound like the findings of a previous x-ray exam. I'm not sure what is meant by "bump on the opposite side of the ankle". If it is in the Achilles tendon, then extreme pain, could make sense. It sounds as though there is something amiss with your Achilles tendon. It would make sense to immobilize the ankle, and begin non-weight bearing until tendon imaging studies can be performed ...Read more
Knee and hip pain while walking on flat surfaces. Mri showed tendon swelling behind knee cap. I am also flat footed.?
Tendinitis: Patellar tendinitis may occur independently due to over activity, and it may also be aggravated by flat feet. If you are knocked kneed, having and arch support that is carefully measured may help reduce your patellar tendon symptoms. As an alternative or in conjunction a patellar strap (cho-pat) brace that is a larger version of a tennis elbow brace may help while correcting the arch issue. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Slipped on ice, landed on right elbow. Xrays showed no big break. Its bruised, swellings down. Elbows very sensitive. Hairline or just bruised bone?
Sounds like a bru --: Ised elbow, as the xrays were negative. Protect the elbow, for a 10-14 days and if its only a bruised, it'll get better. If not improving or getting worse, get a another xray as in some cases initial xray may not show a fx, which was present. So protecting it for 2 weeks and re-xraying it would be the way to go. Good luck. ...Read more

Mgt: The D Dimer and chest radiograph may not be fully accurate in the diagnosis of a thrombosis or embolism. With your symptoms, I would advise having a V/Q scan of your chest and another ultrasound of your lower extremities including upper legs. Other imaging can include a chest CT. Do you have any shortness of breath or other respiratory symptoms. ...Read more
