Did you suffer any trauma to your lip? If so you likely have a hematoma (collection of blood) under the lip. This will take time to dissipate. You can try cool compresses/ice to your lip a few times a day and try an anti-inflammatory medication like advil (ibuprofen) to reduce the pain and inflammation. If you do not notice an improvement over the next several days see your doctor.
