Not probiotics: Doubt probiotics is causing the GERD exacerbation. Check with the doctor who prescribed you the Linzess. I am not aware that it should cause GERD worsening either. Perhaps you have changed your eating habit recently too? ...Read more

IBS: Bental may be effective. Amitiza (lubiprostone) is for idiopathic constipation and not indicated. You should see a gastroenterologist for more help. ...Read more

You must: Measure in terms of WEEKS not DAYS since you should be following a dietary intake consistent with your IBS type! Consult with your Gastroenterologist about what you should be eating. One thing I can advise...DRINK LOTS OF FLUIDS!!!!!!!!!! and start NOW!

Ok: Neither are contraindicated for WPW but Amitiza (lubiprostone) has no black box warnings and Linzess does - since clinical experience with both is limited, i'd go with the former. ...Read more
