Cough: Cough is one of the most common symptoms. One of the reasons could be adult whooping cough (cough with vomiting). The "whoop" is characteristic only to kids not adults. Other reasons can be chronic bronchitis for example. Eventually cough begets cough. Respiratory infectio: Bronchitis is in the spectrum of respiratory infection. If you have shortness of breath it could be bronchial involvement. You might have asthma component . It is little unusual for a 19 yr old to be on zestoretic (lisinopril and hydrocholorthiazide) which I assume taking for high blood pressure. Sounds like: "asthmatic" bronchitis! Are you wheezing??? You may require an antibiotic so best bet is to call your Primary Care Provider! Don't worry.: Pneumonia will give you a fever and your symptoms would have gotten worse, not better, without treatment.
