Lantis : Lantis is a slow release Insulin injection that is administered once a day, good for 24 hours. Humulin is not the same. Humulin lasts for about 14 hours and peaks differently than lantus (insulin glargine). If you were to switch to humulin, you may need to give your self 2 injections/day to regulate your blood sugar.
