Can I use lignocaine 2% gel normally used for catheterization rectally to numb the area ive been impacted for over a week and little releif from laxat?

Exam time!: As all laxatives recommend on their label, if it is not effective - have an exam. It could be an early sign of a serious condition and it's much better to catch these things ASAP. Numbing the area will do nothing to correct either the impact/obstruction issue or any bigger problem. Don't wait. Best wishes! ...Read more

Hi I have been prescribed lidocaine 2% gel to use before intercourse to help with the pain how much gel should I use and how should I get it in side?

Bad idea: Bad idea because it will make you numb, and your partner as well and nobody will feel anything. Definitely no orgasm.
the question is why you are having pain with intercourse. You need to fix that. You are too young for this. If the problem is lubrication try different lubricant.
if the problem is penetration try with your partner different position until you find a comfortable one. ...Read more

You can also place a Lidoderm patch on area for twelve hours before having tattoo removed which might help. Good luck. ...Read more

It it reasonable for men to use xylocaine (lidocaine) gel instead of delay spray?

It it reasonable for men to use xylocaine (lidocaine) gel instead of delay spray?

Delay may be better: Both will act to delay climax, the idea being to allow one to perform longer (sorry for the pun). Lidocaine gel could potentially prevent orgasm and even anesthetize a women to the point of not enabling pleasre. I recommend a trial, you will be the best judge. ...Read more

Why won't lidocaine gel numb my skin? I'm using it for an ingrown nail, but it's been 30 minutes and nothing is numbed at all.

Why won't lidocaine gel numb my skin? I'm using it for an ingrown nail, but it's been 30 minutes and nothing is numbed at all.

May take longer: Usually it takes 30 min to 1 hr for Lidocaine cream or gel to reach full effect. However, if the ingrown nail is infected, it may not work. Lidocaine numbs only the skin, not deeper tissues. Infected areas have a different pH and local anesthetics (even when injected) may not have the same effect as they do on normal tissue. You may find that ice works better to numb the area temporarily. ...Read more
