I had a cone biopsy and iud removal in January. I had my period Feb 3rd. Can either procedure cause my period to be late for march?
The procedures need not cause a delay. However, menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. Consult this site for more information on this topic.

I had a period a few days before IUD removal, had it removed monday, today (wednesday) I'm spotting bright red, could that be implantation already?
Bleeding: Ovulation occurs about 14 days from the first day of your period. The actual timing is dependent upon cycle length. With 21 day cycles ovulation is on day 7; with 28 day cycles ovulation is on day 14; with 35 day cycles ovulation is on day 21. Implantation bleeding occurs 5 - 7 days after conception at about day 19 -22, assuming ovulation and conception was at day 14or 15. So, no. ...Read more

I have a mirena (levonorgestrel) iud, november this year is the 5 year expiration. I have been having long, light periods and spotting recently started. Any advice?
No: EM physicians will not generally do elective procedures like IUD removal in the ED. There are just too many patients and too many unknowns in the waiting room coming in via EMS to do something like that. However, if you go to a small ED at a time when there are few patients, the doc MAY do it for you, but I wouldn't plan on it. ...Read more

Surgery for IUD removal in 2 weeks because it is stuck. How common is this? Will conceiving again be a problem?
Common: While it's not super common, it does happen. Typically women who have this issue don't have any problems with conception thereafter. Low Probability: As you had sex while the IUD was still in the uterus (Sex Mar3, IUD removal Mar5), the chance of preg is quite small. Either way, chance of preg is low. Without birth control, there is a 20% chance preg/month; Lower w/IUD. ...Read more
