See your MD: There are many reasons for abnormal bleeding including, hormonal imbalance, thyroid or other medical problems and stress. Fibroids, polyps, thickened lining and adenomyosis (endometriosis of the uterus) may also cause abnormal bleeding. Your doctor will diagnose your problem and make a treatment plan with you if needed.

Hormonal change: It sounds like a minor hormonal change and I suggest waiting to see what happens this next cycle. If you are still having problems, and not pregnant, then get a check up with a gyn specialist.

Prolonged: Prolonged vaginal bleeding not related to your period is called dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Depending on your age, there are a variety of things that could be causing it such as a hormone imbalance, annovulation, pregnancy, pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine fibroids, trauma, menopause, inherited bleeding disorders, and rarely, cancer. You should contact your doctor for an evaluation. It's important that the cause of your bleeding be found in order to give you the proper treatment to stop it. If you are bleeding from elsewhere, also give your doctor a call. Good luck!

If you get your period a week after taking Plan B and then a light period/light spotting 10 days after your period is that normal? Please help!

If you get your period a week after taking Plan B and then a light period/light spotting 10 days after your period is that normal? Please help!

Yes: Plan b will change up the menstrual cycle since it works by preventing ovulation. Bleeding is expected. You should always take a pregnancy test after using Plan B to make sure that it worked. Please see your doctor to start a more reliable birth control method too.

Probably nothing: One can get Spotting around the time of Ovulation. If you have 25 day period then 10day before your next regular period could be associated with Ovulation. But if you are concerned and if spotting continues randomly, you should get checked by your OB GYN

Can u be pregnant and still get a light period I'm 10 days late and I just started spotting very light?

Can u be pregnant and still get a light period I'm 10 days late and I just started spotting very light?

No: It is possible to bleed while you are pregnant but that is not the same as having your period. Your period is the shedding of the endometrial lining when one does not get pregnant. Have you checked a pregnancy test? If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. They are cheap, reliable and available at any pharmacy.

If: If there is any chance you could be pregnant, then please take a pregnancy test. Spotting can occur during both normal and abnormal pregnancies. If you are pregnant, then you would need to be seen. Spotting can also occur from weight gain, loss, stress on the body, or just a light period. If it continues you will need to discuss this with your gynecologist.

I've have a light long period (10 days) took a urine & blood pregnancy test both negative but I'm still having pregnancy symptoms?

I've have a light long period (10 days) took a urine & blood pregnancy test both negative but I'm still having pregnancy symptoms?

Get GYN exam: It is possible that you actually were pregnant and your prolonged bleeding was a spontaneous abortion. This would explain the negative HCG test (nothing is producing the hormone anymore) while you still have residual pregnancy symptoms. Either way, prolonged bleeding should be investigated by your doctor

I was 3 days late but now I have light period?

I was 3 days late but now I have light period?

Normal: 3 days late, while can be a little "off" does not fall very far outside the normal in terms of timing. It's possible that your hormones (estrogen and progesterone) are a little different in this cycle, but at 3 days late, I wouldn't be worried for a second. Make sure if you don't want to be pregnant that you are using birth control.

Irregular periods: Generally speaking, irregular periods can occur and can be normal. Best to monitor your cycle over the next 2-3 months. If concerned for pregnancy, take a test, and be sure to use contraception.

10 months ago my period changed and now I get a brown light period for 4 days then my regular period kicks in for another 5. Is this normal?

Yes: Periods can change in character over your lifetime. As you age, gain or lose weight, become more or less stressed, the hormonal milieu of your body also changes. Be sure you are up to date with your health maintenance checkups.

I've gained 10 lbs in 2-3 weeks. I also had a light period for a week, had 6 days w/o one, & then it started again but is heavy. Is this hormonal?

I've gained 10 lbs in 2-3 weeks. I also had a light period for a week, had 6 days w/o one, & then it started again but is heavy. Is this hormonal?

Unsure: Would recommend home pregnancy test on first morning urine. If negative, repeat in 7 to 10 days. If both negative, unlikely this is pregnancy or miscarriage. Need to see your doctor for examination. May be hormonal but other causes on the list as well., Too numerous to list here. Sorry this was not more helpful. Best of luck. Dr. R

Been having a light period for 7 days, why?

Been having a light period for 7 days, why?

Don't know.: The main reason for light periods is a change in hormone levels. Causes for what seems to be a light period can include: implantation bleeding in early pregnancy, thyroid problems, eating disorders, excessive exercise, initial periods for a girl, use of an intrauterine device, oral contraceptives ; perimenopause. For period > 7 days, consult with your gynecologist.

Light period lasted 4 days feel bloated and sick?

Light period lasted 4 days feel bloated and sick?

Stomach flu: The stomach flu is caused by a virus that attacks your gastrointestinal system. There is no cure for the stomach flu. The remedies are good rest, plenty of fluids intake, plain food like crackers, cereal, toast and rice. Take NSAID over the counter and tincture of time. Good luck.

What does is mean when your 3 days late and have a light period?

What does is mean when your 3 days late and have a light period?

Maybe nothing: Periods aren't always perfectly on time, and the amount of flow may vary. Early pregnancy or pregnancy loss are also options- always easy to do a pregnancy test. If you are otherwise healthy and well, and your next cycle is back to normal, one weird cycle is not very worrisome.
