Probably: Its not uncommon to have some off and on irregular bleeding or spotting with mirena, (levonorgestrel) but just to be safe I would check a pregnancy test. In addition you need an IUD check every year, so if due for that please schedule one as well. ...Read more

Low chance: With the Paragard there is a very low chance of pregnancy with perfect use (making sure your strings are in place monthly, etc). With just one day late I would not jump to the pregnancy conclusion just yet, it might just be a slightly irregular cycle which can happen, it's just not that common. If it becomes more than a week late, have your doc check your strings and make sure everything is ok. ...Read more
