When can I lift heavy objects after breast reduction? How long do I have to refrain from lifting heavy objects after breast reduction?
I : I typically instruct my patients who have had breast reduction to avoid heavy lifting greater than 15 lbs for a period of 4-6 weeks after surgery. I think this helps protect your healing wounds during the early stages of healing, when you are experiencing post-operative swelling and the strain on the incisions is the greatest. I also instruct you to avoid strenuous, aerobic activity for around 4 weeks in order to help reduce swelling and bruising. All the best, dr. Skourtis. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Also, remember that as your pregnancy progresses, you become 'top heavy' and your joints loosen up increasing fall and sprain risk. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

No, but...: It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. So, ignore the hymen. Usually, only in cases of alleged sexual assault upon girls and women do we physicians engage in the careful examination of hymens, collecting evidence of physical damage to be used later in courts of law. In normal everyday life, people should not be "checking hymens" nor thinking about whether they are broken or not broken. ...Read more
