Maybe, but..: Insanity is a vigorous exercise program that engages all major & core muscle groups, stimulates the release of glycogen stores and the rapid and efficient uptake of oxygen to fuel activity. Recovery from the demands of such a program requires some protein and also a high GI food to promote growth and replenish glycogen. Amount of simple sugars? Does the shake have added vitamins and minerals? What tastes the best? Both sound like reasonable recovery drinks.

Whey protein: Yes, whey protein is excellent. Other excellent proteins are: Egg white is superior to all. Quinoa is excellent. Beans and lentils are excellent. Milk protein is excellent. Whole grains are good but not sufficient. Nuts are excellent. Yogurt is excellent. Be careful - excess protein can worsen kidney stone condition. Dietary supplements: Age & blood pressure are immaterial to starting exercise regimen. Just do it! Great idea to start slow & low and gradually build up speed & strength/weight. Dietary supplements are not necessary for most adults in States although I can't speak to Pakistan etc. Certainly, there are no studies demonstrating any benefit from dietary supplements. Depend!: I f you use 50g per day-20 days. If you ingest 100g per day, only 10 days. That much is not prudent for most. So, the 20 day likely hood is reasonable. Equivalent to 2 cans of tuna!
