Life Expectancy For Stage 4 Angiosarcoma Of Scalp With Metatasis To Neck And Sternum
What is the life expectancy for a 42 yr old man with stage 4 signer ring cell with metastasis of the lung and how and with what would you treat him?
Check EGFR and ALK:
Very important to check for egfr mutations and alk re-arrangements, since there are medications that are very effective to treat cancers that are positive for these mutations. As far as prognosis, a 42 year old tends to have a better prognosis than the average patient and in patients with egfr mutations or alk it goes up to 24 to 30 months or more. Please discuss this with your med onc. Best,

3.5 years: 3.5 years is the median survival in studies that look at groups of people with angiosarcoma. However, each person with angiosarcoma may do much better or much worse. It depends on where the tumor started, the stage of the tumor at diagnosis, and the age and general health of the person. Sadly, it is a very aggressive type of cancer. ...Read more

Need more than surge:
Angiosarcoma is a dangerous cancer, so it needs to be controlled fast before it starts to spread at distant sites.
You should not rely on surgery alone as you have already witnessed its failure more than once.
Consult a medical oncologist or a sarcoma specialist who can first treat your Angio with chemotherapy, then do surgery (good excision...it does not have to be radical. Local Radiotherapy may ...Read more

Depression: Given your symptoms, the MRI was not a good test. You also just mention amitriptyline in passing and not stating the underlying diagnosis for that medication which is what I believe to be the underlying diagnosis for your stated symptoms. You are experiencing depression / anxiety or reaction to meds. See your mental health provider. ...Read more
Hi its to my wife she is suffering from chest burning and had pain in neck and not feeling wel since four days why its so?
Get checked: She needs to get checked to see if this is a heart problem or esophagitis. If the neck pain is in front, it's likely part of the same problem as the chest pain. If neck pain is in the back, it may be an unrelated problem. If the pain is just on one side or the other, it could be she is developing shingles. ...Read more
