I've tried every possible lice medicine and visited doctors yet no kind of medication is helping, and the eggs are more common than lice, what to do?

Several things: If you rinse your hair daily with copious amounts of a stiff vinegar, ( pickling vinegar does well), this can loosen the eggs attachment to hair. Combing the eggs out with a nit comb will then have more success. If you do that for a week & then try the OTC product it may work better. If not there are some prescription meds for the resistant lice. ...Read more

How often should I retreat lice with over-the-counter medication?

Just one retreatment: For head lice, treat every affected person on the same day. Remove all the bugs and nits from everybody's hair. Just using the medication (such as nix (permethrin)) is not enough. . . One must remove the bugs and nits. Each day, check everybody's hair for remaining nits to remove. After 7-10 days, treat with nix (permethrin) again, and do hair checks every day for one week after that. Then, do hair checks occasionally. ...Read more

Very confusing: Rid is not a treatment for scabies. You fail to note the name of the pills or the name of the "prescription." Sounds like you need a better DR. If you really have scabies, ivermectin pills are a single dose with one more dose 2 weeks later. Permethrin cream is used once all over the skin, then repeated in 1 or 2 weeks. All contacts are treated, even if not itchy. From first treatment to absence of ...Read more
