I have been on lexotan 3mg for 17 years. I had been taking when I need it. But now my anxiety isn't good so I am taking it every day.
Lexotan/bromazepam: Is a sedative, that acts on the same brain centers as alcohol. Both are calming, both are potentially addictive, and both can actually increase anxiety with long-term use. Anxiety is a natural response to danger -think 'fight or flight'- but when experienced every day, it's out of control. You can learn to control your anxiety w/cognitive-behavioral therapy rather than relying on a drug. ...Read more
Dr prescribed lexotan 3mg for a week for anxiety. When the week is over will I feel better when I stop taking it? Would it fix what it had to?
Not likely. SSRI's: Or any anti-depressant/anti-anxiety meds will mask the symptom or change your nervous system's way of experiencing it, but won't change much else. It will give you more confidence to deal with situations, if the med works, which is what you need to learn to do without the meds, sooner or later. If you have an underlying physical cause, you may need to stay on the meds longer. ...Read more

Antibiotics & meds: Bromazepam is a benzodiazepine similar to "Valium". It shouldn't have any major interaction with an antibiotic like cephalexin. I am more concerned, however, that you are even taking Bromazepam-- that's a very powerful medicine and I wonder if you really need it?
