I take L-theanine (200mg) with vyvanse (60mg). I just started lexapro (5mg, going up to 10mg next week) yesterday. Is the l-theanine okay with SSRI?
Yes, but..: Lexapro interacts with Vyvanse to possibly increase Vyvanse side effects, eg. jitteriness, anxiety, racing thoughts. Prescribing doc should monitor dose changes closely. Paracetamol dose: Healthy adult weighing more than 50 kg can take 1 gram of paracetamol every 6 hourly per day, maximum recommended dosage in a day is 4 grams. See below: Lexapro (escitalopram) is an ssri and is basically the "pure" form of citalopram. Most common se's effects are constipation, decreased sexual drive, GI problems, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, sweating, decreased appetite, and disrupted sleep. Many symptoms subside after 2 to 3 weeks. Stay on the medication for a couple of months to give it a chance to work. Often people quit too soon! ...Read more
