Levothyroxine And Bright Yellow Urine

Could high calcium in the blood and intake of levothyroxine for hypothyroid be cause of strong foul odor in urine? I drink ~3 6oz cups of water a day
Unlikely: Neither high calcium nor levo. Will cause foul odor. Most common cause of dark, strong urine is dehydration. You should be drinking minimum of 100 ounces of fluids/day or enough to keep urine color fairly clear, not only to help lower calcium but to prevent kidney stones. Other causes of foul urine are UTI and certain foods and meds. A urinalysis and culture can determine if UTI present. ...Read more

Of note; some medications can cause change in the urine color as well. ...Read more

Probably several: But, one easy thing to try is to drink lots of water (8+ 8oz glasses per day) for a day or two. If this clears it - you might not have a problem other than being dehydrated. Enough B1 and B2: Vitamins B1 and esp. B2 have a yellow color so bright yellow urine suggests enough B1 and B2. But B3, 5, 6, 12 and folate aren't yellow and you might still have inadequate levels of those. Many have difficulty absorbing B12. Nearly half of people have trouble metabolizing folic acid and need the L-5-MTHF form of folate. Fasting blood homocysteine can indicate if you have enough B6, B12 and folate. ...Read more

The morning after I had sex with a condom, my urine was a bright yellow color, was smelling very strong and weird and was cloudy. What is wrong?
Maybe nothing wrong: The appearance of urine (color, cloudiness), depth of color, and odor all depend on food and fluid intake. Having sex has no effect at all. This isn't an STD or anything else related to recent sex. However, if the odor and cloudiness actually are from vaginal fluids, you might have bacterial vaginosis, a kind of bacterial overgrowth. If you have vaginal discharge or odor, best to see a doctor. ...Read more
No: A tinge of blood, perhaps.
