Is it ok to take levaquin & minocycline for non-std prostatitis & uti?Levaquin seems far less potent after prior use.I have been taking for 5 days.
Assuming the bacteria is unknown. What antibiotic is best for epidymitis/ prostatitis? Levaquin or cipro, (ciprofloxacin) and why? Generally speaking overall.

Is it a bad idea to take levaquin (levofloxacin) if I have high liver enzymes? I was perscribed because i also have prostatitis
Possibly safe : Levaquin (levofloxacin) undergoes limited metabolism by the liver and a dose adjustment is generally not indicated. Levaquin (levofloxacin) is a generally safe medication as far as the liver is concerned, but rare and even fatal cases of liver failure have been reported. PROSTATITIS EVAL: R/O prostatitis is tough to treat. Hopefully you have seen a urologist recently. If no response to levoquin, try doxycycline. I would recheck labs /UA C&S. & testosterone . .
