Need a Dr to exam: You need a physician to exam your knee and images you might injured a ligaments before and this is aggravated now with specific movement you did
you need x ray and possible MRI
take it easy on you knee until you see dr and try to to put weight on it

Doubtful: Cancer is statistically extremely unlikely. Much more likely at your age would be conditions such as chondromalacia (wear and tear of the kneecap cartilage) or possibly cartilage wear and tear within the knee joint itself. Depends on Cause: There are many causes of leg pain. It could be something as simple as your foot wear. L if you run on a regular basis and suddenly increased your training it could be anything from shin splints to stress fractures. Muscular strains/overuse can cause this-may need to stretch more.
