Tendon: I would suggest evaluating his proximal and distal tibialis anterior tendons by palpation and ultrasound. Also whether hew has lost arch height. As a person ages and the foot lengthens the arch drops. The tibialis muscle contarcts and trigger points are activated within in causing referred pain into the ankle and foot. Could be Shin splint: Shin splints are not necessarily on the bone. What happens is that the muscle belly gets pulled from the bone, but the pain can be palpated on the muscle itself. Have to know why, what activity were you doing, etc. Rest, ice area and see if pain goes away. If not, seek medical attention. ...Read more

Discuss with Doc: Lumps on you legs at 36 weeks of pregnancy could be either prominent fatty collections call lipoma or from prominent veins or varicosities. Elevation of your legs should help. Both can be palpated under the skin and appear mobile. Loss of muscle mass can be from lack of activity , if you you have been slowing down.
