Leg Pain In Hamstring Muscles While Sitting
It is a body tissue that has the ability to contract. It shortens and generates force. It relaxes and returns to its original length. Muscles move joints, stabilize the body, move air and food through the organs, act as valves for bladder, bowel and other organs. They control movement of the eyes. They help us express ourselves by changing the shape of our ...Read more
Yes!: Muscle cramps are sometimes caused when we use muscles repeatedly (over and over again) that we don't usually use. For example someone who wears shoes wearing flip flops all day at the beach. He will be using his calf muscles more and in a different way then normally does and get a cramp. ...Read more
Absolutely: Podiatrists hate flip flops for that very reason. Stop wearing them, wear athletic shoes (cross trainers, etc) for a while and see if that improves your pain. If not, see a doctor. ...Read more

I have pulled my muscle or either my hamstring in my left leg and when i play ball i keep getting the worst feeling and i don't know what to do?
5 years of unbearable muscle leg pain. Lots of meds prescribed to try to help relieve the pain but no relief. CPK is high. Can a DNA test help?

If i woke-up this morning with leg pain, should I be concerned? It feels as if i may have pulled a muscle, but could i actually do that in my sleep?
You : You haven't said anything about your age, gender, medical history, or overall state of health, so it's a little tough for me to narrow things down, but there are some things that would explain this. Could you have slipped while walking on the ice? Overuse of muscles or trauma might cause pain that wakes you up. A muscle cramp might also cause this type of localized pain. If you have a history of vascular disease, or are at risk for it (older age group, high cholesterol, smoker or diabetic) then this could represent a blocked blood vessel. Do you have ongoing pain? Numbness? Are your symptoms increased with exercise? If so, then you should be evaluated for compromised blood flow. ...Read more
Old man with pain in neck near top of scalene muscle, and leg pain.Pain comes and goes and triggers when twisting his neck to right. What can be said?
Muscle or ligament: Sounds like a mainly muscular or connective tissue issue. Restriction and pain in one area such as the neck can actually relate to other areas because of the way the body is put together. An osteopath that does manual medicine might be ideal to see, or a physical therapist to get some evaluation, a clear diagnosis, and treatment. Arthritis can be a part of that as well. ...Read more
