Many Possibilities: Depending on how long it's been going on, i would consider an evaluation by a pain/spine specialist. Sometimes it could be a muscle imbalance, early onset arthritis or scoliosis. Also could be a pinched nerve/herniated disc. Either way it might be good to figure it out and get appropriate treatment. ...Read more

Evaluate Low Back: If you are not improving have your doctor order a lumbar spine mri. Many times a herniated disc in the back can cause leg pain especially if you have not improved with the medications and physical therapy. If it is a herniated disc you may need evaluation from a spine specialist to determine what other options might be needed (injections, surgery, etc) to help reduce pain. ...Read more

Yes: Herniated disks that are cause of sciatica pain typically get worse with sitting, bending at the waist, and definitely worse with bending/twisting and raising a heavy object. Try avoiding these positions/activities initially. Typically most herniated disk pain improves on its own by 3-6 weeks. If still bothering you then i recommend seeing your doctor for further imaging. ...Read more

Lumbar disk?: An s-1 nerve root irritation will cause this type of symptom pattern. Stretching the opposite side pulls the nerve root towards that side, also theother side also pulled 2 that side.
