Intrauterine insemination (iui) is where fresh or frozen partner or donor sperm is prepared or 'washed' to increase the sperm quality then gently injected through your cervix after a speculum exam, like a pap smear exam. It should be painless or cause mild cramping only. Iui helps with mild to moderate sperm problems. Iui preparations should have at least 2 million moving ...Read more
Hello All, Am new to this Forum. Today is 13th day IUI. Am having leg pain and some time lower stomach pain. Is this pregnancy symptoms?
Did you have sex since your last period? Did you miss a period? If you missed your period by 4-5 days, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.
Practice safe sex.

My wife is preg. Using IUI done on march 8. Dr said baby girl though the cord was in the way & baby legs closed. How accurate is this in %? Can be boy
Varies: Percentages if accuracy vary between different variables, such as type of ultrasound, how many weeks in it was done etc. Also, the ultrasound is never 100% anyway. So still can be a boy. My suggestion would be to repeat it if you want a more definitive answer. ...Read more

I had my IUI on 26 Feb 2017 From sterday I do feel lot of tiredness and leg joint pain - symptoms of period. It is very much hopeless. Expected Period?
Patience: A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex or insemination, or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test. After IUI, one can forget about sperm, eggs, or babies, and just enjoy everything else in life for the next 3 weeks... and then do a pregnancy test. ...Read more

I get leg pain when I walk to little, to much, cross them or has my other leg on them, I walk every day but is there anything else I can do to stop it?
Broad differential: Leg pain has a broad differential, but the most common orthopedic reason is related to back problems. Since I see you are 26 it is unlikely that you have a vascular problem, which leaves something neurogenic or rheumatologic. Since the differential diagnosis is so broad, I recommend you start with your family practitioner to narrow the differential. ...Read more

Soft tissue issues such as a vascular injury, blood clot, or muscle/tendon injury can also cause leg pain. Anxiety talking: There is what we used to call "neurotic anxiety" - fears about things one need not worry about and reality anxiety - fears about things that can be wrong or really hurt us. Worrying about new or repeating pain is real worry - it is a message speaking loud and clear: "this needs to be properly medically assessed". I'm on gabapentin 600mg 3x a day... Need to wean off because of side affects... Taking it for back and leg pain.
Weaning is wise:
For any centrally acting agent one should not stop it abruptly. My advise would be to wean one tablet every 5 days until done- 10 days in your case as reported for 1800 mg a day.
If that is too much too quick you may want to get a script for the 300 or 100 mg tablets.
Good luck and well wishes. ...Read more
