Need an exam: The complaints are very vague, a visit to your doctor may allow for more interview and examination. This is the best approach to symptoms described. The differential diagnosis is too braod for achy legs. It could be mechanical, postural, nerve issues, back issues, vascular, neuromuscular, or normal reponse to extreme activities.

Partly: Soreness or pain is general indicator from the body that something is amiss with the organ and needs attention. Accumulation of Lactic Acid due to prolonged anaerobic metabolism by the muscle is part of the cause of soreness.

I have workout 3 days ago. And My leg muscles are very sore. How can I get them not to be painful? I have a tens unit.
Overuse: Worked out little hard and now have muscle stiffness as muscles recover. Exercise, esp vigorous exercise tears down the muscle fibers and then they heal bigger and stronger. But, this comes at a price of inflammation and some injury. NSAID for pain and inflammation (if no medical reason not to) GENTLE stretching to help muscle tightness. GENTLE exercise to assist blood flow to help recovery.
Deconditioning: Deconditioning, also called disuse atrophy (due to sedentary lifestyle and physical inactivity) is the most common cause in north america. Other causes include vascular (blockages of arteries down the leg) or spinal stenosis (tightening around spinal nerves). A bruise or worse...: Purple color may mean a bruise or bleeding under the skin. A sore muscle can be some bleeding from broken muscle fibers inside the muscle (called a muscle strain). If a person bleeds easily, there can be a hematoma in the muscle. If there are risk factors for a blood clot in the leg, such as recent surgery, injury, taking ocp's, sitting for several hours, etc..., the E.R. Or a doctor should check.
For a couple years now I've suffered from very sore inner thigh muscles. It's only on the left leg and hurts to touch. Nothing helps. Any thoughts?
Thigh pain: This could represent a muscular or tendon problem of the adductor muscle or a nerve problem involving the obturator nerve and or the L3 nerve from the back.

Muscle pain: Really wouldn't worry too much given your young age. If it lasts for more than a couple of days, or if other symptoms develop such as other muscles become painful, you run a fever/chills, see your doctor.

Could be: You would first want to make sure that your pain that is worst in the morning is not because of something other than muscle tightness such as a developing spinal condition. Any tight muscles in our posterior chain from our legs to our upper back could potentially put undue stress on the lower back. Are your legs lacking flexibly? What about your lats? Yoga can never hurt in the morning.
I have had muscle soreness for about two months in my right arm and leg, that feels like I have just literally worked out even though I haven't.

I'm a runner, and my muscles and tendons are getting increasingly sore at the top of my femur on the outside of my leg. I stretch regularly. Ideas?
Sorry just noticed: Just realized you said top of femur. If in lower leg my answer. Would stand. Out upper leg could be a bursitis or tendinitis....Even a type of fasciitis. Avoid offending activity for several weeks....Otc antiinflamatories and ortho follow up if conservative measures aren't enough.
