Knee pain: Several possibilities and this requires a good physical exam followed by imaging to make a probable diagnosis. I would suspect a patellar and/or tendon issue more than an intra-articular problem. See an orthopedist. It will probably only get worse if you try to ignore it. ...Read more

Repeat MRI: This is obviously not a normal recovery process. Most patients will have normal motion by now. The need for a chondroplasty suggests you have some cartilage damage. Have you had an MRI since the surgery? This would be helpful to help define the continued problem. Injections, extensive physical therapy are other options. In the meantime, take some pain meds that you have used in the past and rest the knee in a brace.
