NSAID: An NSAID (like ibuprofen, naproxen, or high dose aspirin) will help the pain. If you're on an anticoagulant ("blood thinner"), this will increase the risk of bleeding but can still be used if you're not having bleeding problems. The limping is often caused by weakness of the quad muscles, but can also be caused by knee problems such as arthritis. If you have had a fall recently, the cause can also be an mcl tear. Evaluate arthritis: There are a few possibilities however it is likely that the unoperated leg was compensating. This increased load of work may have led to you developing early arthritis or hamstring tightness. This spasm due to the leg length discrepancy may be causing the night pain. Get examined!: Your symptoms suggest patellofemoral (kneecap) pain. Your 'cyst' may be causing the pain in the back of your knee (popliteal/ Bakers' cyst).Not sure if your 'partial' ACL injury is causing symptoms or not without a thorough examination (it can cause cysts in the knee joint occasssionally.) Cauda Equina: Inability to urinate is an emergency. I would make sure you don't have what is called cauda equina syndrome. Unfortunately this requires surgery to correct. Ofetn times the nerves are just bruised abit and the signals aren't being sent quick enough, you may need an epidural steroid injection to relieve this irritation.
