Leg Ache After Hysterectomy
Pelvic aching/swelling 1 yr after total hysterectomy. Just started 3 months ago. More swelling from sitting than standing. Also lymphedema left leg?
Venous thrombosis: Swelling in pelvis and legs depends on the response to hysterectomy where if procedure was for tumor a pelvic node dissection was probably performed. Here there is a possibility of iliac and hypogastric vein thrombosis leading to extremity edema as well as aching from obturator and pelvic femoral nerve irritation ...Read more
Unusual: It's unusual to have leg, thigh, & knee pain following hysterectomy. If you had a lapararoscopic or robotic procedure, it's possible (but unlikely) that the leg stirrups were compressing the areas you have concerns with. Check with your surgeon to address the above just to be thorough. Otherwise, a visit to your primary doc may be in order to explore other possibilities. Take care & good luck. ...Read more
What is causing my severe leg pain? I had a complete hysterectomy december 2010. Them mid january I started having extreme pain from knees down, a couple months passed with constant pain and then the top of legs started hurting all the way down a constant
Swelling, itching, and pain in the legs that gets worse with standing is a pretty classic picture of venous outflow problems. This can happen with blockage (say, if you developed blood clots during or after your surgery), or if you have developed abnormal function in the one-way valves in your leg veins. It would not be picked up on an MRI of the spine or on a bone scan. Instead, you would need an ultrasound examination of your legs.
I would recommend that you find a vein specialist in your area. You can search the phrase venous reflux waco texas or go to this link: http://doctor-finder. Sirweb. Org/. ...Read more

I had a Da Vinci hysterectomy. Have had leg pain since waking up from surgery. It doesn't feel like DVT but more like cramping in both legs. My left thigh is worse. What could be the cause?
Leg pain: I would still get evaluated by your doctor and probably get a venous duplex of your legs just to be sure you don't have a dvt. ...Read more

I have been having lower leg pain for a few days and it' comes and goes its an aching pain what could it be?
Leg ache from knee down almost a restless feeling but quite strong pain happens about 1 to 2 times a week?
Varicose veins?: If the ache is most noticeable when you have been on your feet for an especially long time during the day, varicose veins could certainly be one of the possible causes for your symptoms. If you have some very prominent visible veins, it is worth it to see a vein specialist/phlebologist. If you have some visible veins that aren't very prominent, you might want to try compression stockings. ...Read more

Maybe muscle cramps:
I sorry to hear about this. Regarding the fever, what do you call a fever? Doctor's classify fever as a temp over 101.3F or 38.5C. Do you have a temp this high every 2 months. Is there any redness around the skin of the calf?

Last 2 times, few hours after remicade (infliximab) infusion, developed severe leg ache for 24 hrs due to late reaction. How to prevent this from recurring?
????: This is a significant side effect that your doctor needs to know about. Will genital herpes cause buttock ache/ back of leg ache even though rash is elsewhere? I.e penis
Probably not, but...: This depends on the nature and timing of the pain. If the buttock/leg discomfort is only during a genital herpes outbreak, or starts 1-2 days before, and if it clears up in another 1-2 days, they may be linked. However, herpes doesn't cause chronic or persistent, ongoing, deeper back, buttock or leg pain, that doesn't accompany outbreaks. In that case, it's an entirely separate problem. ...Read more
