Been having sharp pain in my left side. all tests are normal. hah CT scan and shows benign cysts in the left hepatic lobe. what should i do?

It depends: Left lobe of the liver in most patients is not on the left of the body. There are some exceptions. Benign cysts can become large enough that they can cause mass effect and pain. Draining the cyst can often be diagnostic and therapeutic. The point is to correlate your symptoms with the site of the CT finding. Referral to a GI specialist or surgeon may be reasonable after discussion with your PCP ...Read more

I had a traumatic brain injury with damage to the right inferior frontal lobe and left parietal lobe. What are possible effects?

Hard to say: It is hard to say. From your question, it sounds as though you had injury demonstrated either by ct scan or MRI scan. One may have no problems at all, it depends on the size of the injury and the exact location in these regions. If you are asking what these areas typically do: r frontal: smell, memory, impulse control, left sided movement. L parietal: speech, language, right sided movement. ...Read more

I have a ltcage fusion at l5. Seven years later left leg is worse. Mri shows scar tissue on right side. Can right side affect the left leg?

Absolutely!: What many people don't realize is that their bodies work hard to protect themselves. It is not uncommon when someone breaks a leg, for the opposite side to start hurting/acting up. Probably tension: There are many causes of headaches. Yours sound like a tension headache, often caused by clenched muscles, or spasms, since it is sore to the touch. This may be due to constant hunching over a computer with tightening of the neck muscles. It may also be a variation of a migraine. However, there are many causes for headaches. Get a new consult: you mention sensory complaints that follow half the body and face-same side without finding a structural cbause.

The symptoms are not progressive-worse, but same for several years-reassuring.
There are no other systems involved?
There is no underlying disease or injury?
Maybe all tests done is not an answer and requires a comprehensive neurology evaluation.
get a full work up. ...Read more

I have pulsitile that comes and goes in my left ear. I hear it most when stretching my neck. I've had normal a brain and cervical mri. Any other tests?

Blood pressure cuff: You need to get your blood pressure checked, especially at the moment when you feel the symptoms. The most common cause of a "pulsing" sensation in the ears is hypertension (high Blood Pressure). You don't need "tests" like an MRI or CT scan to diagnose them - only rarely does anything show up on those scans for this symptom. Talk to your doctor. Good luck & thanks for using HealthTap. ...Read more

Need expert diagnosi: Before asking about more tests (which haven't served you at ALL except for taking up your time & $$), it's best to get a working diagnosis. The left side of my brain and kind of feels tense. Why?

Brain pain?: Actually, there are no sensory nerves in your brain. (if during neurosurgery, while you were awake, the doctor scooped out a tablespoon of your brain, you would feel nothing.) thus your pain probably reflects muscle tension and/or scalp inflammation on one side of your head. You have a muscle that stretches from the back of your neck to your forehead that is common site for muscle tension headache. ...Read more
