I had severe left upper quadrant pain, happened suddenly, radiated to left shoulder, am 26 no past medical history. What is the cause for that pain.
LUQ pain: Your abdominal pain could be a number of reasons. Would need additional symptoms/descriptions to assist ruling out possible causes. Make sure you are not constipated, which can present with those symptoms. Take citrucel as a trial with adequate hydration. If symptoms persist, suggest abdominal ct and being evaluated by a local physician. ...Read more
Depends: If it was a one-time, passing thing, there's not much to do. If it's persistent or recurrent, talk to your doctor. Pay attention to when and why it occurs, so you can discuss your symptoms accurately with your doctor. Good luck. ...Read more
Infection?: As you don't give any numbers or tell how long you have had pain it is hard to answer the question. If the WBC count is really high you may have an acute infection. Without more information the probability of this can't be assessed. As you must have seen a physician to get the blood count ordered, ask him/her for follow-up. ...Read more
Post Splenectomy(2 month)have left upper quadrant pain radiate to back,Doc ask for CT,CT show 2.5 cm nodule compatible with splenules, is pain common?
Yes, it's common: Post-splenectomy, especially if traumatic spleen injury was involved initially can result in "splenosis" where autotransplantation of splenic tissue from a damaged spleen can see elsewhere on the peritoneal surface and cause pain. I am unsure about the circumstances of your splenectomy, and your medical history related to your spleen would be helpful to know. ...Read more

Not usually serious: If "paun" is "pain" then the answer is a host of things, which can range from simple things such as a strained muscle or a rib fracture on the left lower chest wall, to more serious disorders like peptic ulcer disease or diverticulitis. I have recently even seen one such patient near your age with a splenic problem. If it persists see your doctor or surgeon. ...Read more
Small hypoechoic area in Left upper quadrant..wat it can be?burning in LUQ on off is the main symptom
Nonspecific : This doesn't point to a single diagnosis. I have sen many patients with crampy left upper abdominal pain that comes and goes, and is associated with a "lump", which was likely a knotted muscle during a spasm. Sounds like a her is, but there are no hernias in this area if no previous incisions. Hope this helps! ...Read more

Diagnosed with biliary dyskinesia, but also have pain in left upper quadrant that radiates to my back. Should I be concerned of other issues?
I want to know if this is a serious medical issue. I can't help to worry. The numbing at the left upper quadrant of my abdomen isn't painful. Its as if a blood is gushing through.
I am a 45 yr old female haveing left upper quadrant dull pain on and off for about 2 hours now what could this be?
Hard to say!: There is no sure way to diagnose the source of abdominal pain because the nerves there are not too smart. They don't say "Hey, this is your liver & I'm hurting! (or kidney, gall bladder, or stomach) Nerves are smarter elsewhere (When you hit your finger, your little finger does tell you it is very upset and hurt! You have specific finger pain, not vague arm pain. If worsens, fever, vomiting: ER ...Read more

What is a "prominent air-filled bowel loop"? I had a ultrasound done on my abdomen and these were my results. It's located in the left upper quadrant.
Likely normal thing: Ultrasound waves run very well through fluid and solid parts of the body and very poorly through air and bones. The comment that you have posted likely indicates that pictures taken with the Ultrasound was not as good as you would expect due to prominent air filled bowel loop. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have this strong pulsating feeling on my left upper quadrant.could this be caused by the garcinia and CLA pills ive bn taking?my left ear rings too
Very unlikely but...: Pulsating feelings in your abdomen and ringing of ears are not known side effects of garcinia and CLA so it's fairly unlikely it's related. However, it is possible you are having a rare and unusual reaction so to be safe try stopping them. If these symptoms go away restart and if they come back they are likely connected. But since this is probably unrelated see your doc to evaluate. See comment: ...Read more
