This is serious: You need to go to er now. You have a bowel obstruction until proven otherwise and with fever, you may even be close to perforating bowel if not already happened. That is possible, but: If the pain is that significant, I would recommend having him examined by his doctor to be sure it isn't anything more than that. Does he have diarrhea? Fever? Travel history? Cause and effect: Distended gallbladder and stomach may be a consequence of a viral gastroenteritis, but not necessarily a cause. Not eating for example can lead to a does tended be gallbladder. Stomach distension can be from reverse flow of intestinal contents from an infection. Make sure to stay hydrated, and follow up with your primary care provider to go over the results of the ct scan.
