Pain inside scrotum persists even after hernia repair and after orchiectomy, in a 61 year-old.....?

Pain inside scrotum persists even after hernia repair and after orchiectomy, in a 61 year-old.....?

Questionable treatment, unless indirect inguinal hernia shown first.: Testicular &/or scrotal pain can notoriously be difficult to manage and often does not respond to epididymectomy. Certainly removal of testicle should not have been performed unless testicle was very tender. Various regimes utilized by pain clinics should have been tried first & certainly should be tried now including possible acupuncture. There is also possibility of referred pain. Surgery often does not help with this kind of pain unless it is due to intermittent trusts torsion in which case fixation of testis, to prevent twisting of spermatic cord, takes care of problem. Wish I could be of more help.

Testicle pain a symptom of hernia?

Testicle pain a symptom of hernia?

Could be: It is possible but without a bulge in the area unlikely. It could also be a back problem specially if the testicle is not tender to touch. If tender to touch it is likely epididymitis. See a urologist.

There is a lump on my testicle, it doesn't hurt when I touch it but I get irregular testicle pain, could this be a cancerous lump? Could it be a hernia

There is a lump on my testicle, it doesn't hurt when I touch it but I get irregular testicle pain, could this be a cancerous lump? Could it be a hernia

Could be: Several things, and the only way to find out is to have an exam and probably an ultrasound. This doesn't hurt, and is the only way to find out what is going on. Please don't "sit on this" as it could indeed be dangerous.

Does it ever happen that a minor inguinal hernia, mainly exhibiting as occasional testicle pain, be healed by non-surgical methods?

Does it ever happen that a minor inguinal hernia, mainly exhibiting as occasional testicle pain, be healed by non-surgical methods?

If the hernia: Is definitely present, no. If it is a question of a hernia with muscle strain, resting the area and nsaid's will help. An ultrasound exam will tell you whether or not there is definite hernia. Hernia is a mechanical defect and the solution is surgical repair.

Can testicular pain onset over 2-3 hours be torsion? Primarily pelvic pain and testicle later. No hernia per exam. No swelling. Improved to milder pain worsened with activity 20 hours later

Can testicular pain onset over 2-3 hours be torsion? Primarily pelvic pain and testicle later. No hernia per exam. No swelling. Improved to milder pain worsened with activity 20 hours later

Sudden onset: Torsion of the testicle occurs very suddenly. Other inflammatory condtions like orchitis and epididymitis can occur more gradually. If this discomfort persists, an exam by a urologist is recommended.

R. testicle pain w shooting pain in thigh. Was cleared for torsion. Doc suspects femoral nerve issue. I have tiny hernia they say that's not it. Ideas?

R. testicle pain w shooting pain in thigh. Was cleared for torsion. Doc suspects femoral nerve issue. I have tiny hernia they say that's not it. Ideas?

More likely hernia: Common things commonly occur & hernias are very common. Femoral nerve pain would be confined to the leg & often associated with leg weakness. Ilioinguinal nerve travels thru inguinal canal (next to hernia, if present) & sends branches into scrotum & into upper & inner thigh. Thus hernia pressing on ilioinguinal nerve is most likely cause, followed by other causes of Ilioinguinal nerve pain.

Right testicle pain after during wrkout. Resides after w/ ice. Doc chked no std/hernia/ inflamm. Still pain. Aleve (naproxen) doesn't do much. Possible solutions?

Possible varicocele: Varicocele is an enlargement of the veins within the scrotum. It occurs in about one in six males, but unlike varicose veins in the legs, it is more common in younger males, ages 15-25.When symptoms do occur, they tend to be felt as a dull ache or feeling of heaviness in the testicle, which gets worse during the day, particularly in hot weather or after physical exertion. See a urologist for tests.

Is testicle pain after hernis surgery common?

Is testicle pain after hernis surgery common?

Yes it is...: During the surgery, the testicular cord (of which the testicle is at the end of in the scrotum) is manipulated extensively. This can result in that uncomfortable feeling/pain of getting struck in the testicle. I recommend wearing an athletic supporter for a few weeks - it will help with that and provide some security while you heal and get over it. Be well!

My right testicle was hurting a lot and then it stopped but I have an iguinal hernia on the left side is it something I should worry about?

Yes.: Testicular pain should get you to your primary care doctor's office for an evaluation. An ultrasound, urine tests, & a history & physical examination are necessary to rule out the common causes of testicular discomfort. If pain persists and your workup is negative you should see a urologist to evaluate/manage you further.

I'm having pain in my left testicle after laparoscopic hernia repair on both sides. It's been 30 days since my surgery, is this normal?

Referred pain?: Most likely this is referred pain, i.e. nerve irritation in the surgical area, not a problem in the testicle itself. Contact your surgeon if the pain continues, or immediately if you have fever or if there is pain, tenderness, swelling, or redness of the scrotum.

My left testicle is swollen with a dull ache now and then. Can feel no lumps. My dad has had a hernia before. Could this b the start of a hernia?

My left testicle is swollen with a dull ache now and then. Can feel no lumps. My dad has had a hernia before. Could this b the start of a hernia?

Swollen testicle: If your testicle is swollen because of a hernia, it would not be the start of a hernia. Before a hernia reaches the testicle, it would have to travel through the groin canal to get there. Usually, men are aware of that well before it reaches down to the testicle. I believe, you will need to see doc to have him look at your testicle.
