Flank Pain: Might be referring to "flank pain" which can come from pulled muscles or sore ribs. Organs in that area that can cause flank pain are the kidneys. Sounds like they looked at your urine and blood to try and detect a kidney infection or possible stone. Worsening pain or additional symptoms would warrant a re-evaluation. See a physician: The area you are mentioning and some of the things you are mentioning could be caused but an ulcer, especially with listing Ibuprofen as a common medication you take, which could cause an ulcer with chronic use. Sounds like muscle: Pull. Calcium might be good for you if you don't get 5 dairy a day but neither will help your muscle! Atelectasis?: My assumption here would be something called atelectasis, a lung condition which is temporary and which tends to occur after abdominal operations.
